We have had to send back our new electric outboard motors due to them being unreliable for commercial usage.
We have now ordered the new Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 a 6HP electric outboard which are made of solid steel and more substantial. They come with 4x136AH deep cell marine batteries and what a sturdy powerful beast it is for an electric outboard motor!

Our Tackle shop is now taking shape and we now stock some well known top brand names in rods, reels, lines and many more of their accessories please see The Tackle Shop for more details.
No other high street or online tackle shop can beat our prices on the middle to top of the range rods and reels with a possible saving of up to 40%!.....and, of course, you can try before you buy!!

Arnfield will be staying open straight through the season to the 31st January 2010 when it will close for 4 weeks and re-open on the 27th February 2010.

Some new Torqeedo 2HP outboard electric motors have now been fitted to our fleet of 10 Loch Lomond boats, the rest are in the pipe-line.
A range of fishing tackle can now be purchased from the Lodge.

We will be stocking the following fish for the start of the 2009 season:

2.5 Tons of 2lb Blues
2.5 Tons of 5-8lb Blues
A number of 15-20lb Blues
3 to 4 tons of 2-3lb over-wintered rainbow in cracking condition

The stocking of Blues & Rainbow shall continue throughout the season.

Brand new 2HP outboard motors will be fitted to all of our boats by the end of May 2009
